InterLibrary Loan

Please fill out this form to request InterLibrary Loans (ILLs). ​ILLs take at least a week to fill and may not arrive for up to 3 weeks. While we do our best to fill ILL requests, we are not always able to do so. If you have a question about the status of your ILL, please follow up with Meredith or call the library.

FAQs:

• Why would I request an ILL rather than make a purchase suggestion?
  We typically save our book budget for purchasing new releases and for filling specific gaps in our collection. We rely on ILLs to help supply our patrons with excellent reading and viewing material already owned by other Vermont libraries, especially when these materials are more than a year old.

• Where do ILLs come from?
  These materials come from other public (and sometimes academic) libraries around the state. Like many Vermont libraries, we use a courier system to send and receive ILL materials. In order to conserve our resources and to connect you with resources as quickly as possible, we encourage patrons to pick up books from nearby libraries when convenient. 

• I requested a book several weeks ago and still haven't received an email telling me that it is ready. What can I do?
