Meeting Space
Book the first or second floor of the library for your community group's meeting.
Service Description
Meetings must be free and open to the public. Reservations must be approved by the library director or Board of Trustees. Meeting space is generally available outside of the library's normal operating hours. To inquire about making a reservation, please email catherine@jerichotownlibraryvt.org.
Cancellation Policy
Jericho Town Library's mission is to enrich the community and inspire lifelong learning by providing free public access to quality materials, services, programs, and ideas in a space that welcomes everyone. In alignment with this mission, we are pleased to offer the second floor of the library as a meeting space for community members outside of our normal operating hours. In providing space for public meetings, the library will not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, age, gender, national origin or disability. Building Use Policy The following conditions must be met for building use: 1. Use must be approved by the Library Director and/or Board of Trustees. To obtain approval, email the director at catherine@jerichotownlibraryvt.org. 2. Use must not interfere with regular library operations. 3. The user will obtain a key for any use outside library hours and must return the key within 24 hours of the event. 4. The user agrees to turn off lights, turn down heat, return chairs and tables to their original location and make sure the facility is left exactly as they found it. The user assumes responsibility for any damage to the facility and to library holdings. 5. Library resources and materials cannot be removed from the building after hours. The user will be held accountable for any removed, lost, or damaged materials. 6. The library is a public building and by law, its services and programs must be free and open to the public. By filling out this form, you agree that the library may advertise your meeting on its calendar. 7. If the library is to be used after hours for a lesson or a program that submits payment to you, the user is encouraged to contribute financially (or in-kind services) towards the building’s energy costs. 8. Event organizers will make every effort to accommodate individuals with disabilities, by moving the event to an ADA accessible location. 9. No open flame. The library is a smoke-free facility. 10. Library is a carry in/carry out facility. 11. The user agrees to report attendance statistics to the Library Director.
